1 Who We Are

MissedToBooked is a missed call text-back service operated as a sole trader trading as MissedToBooked, based in the United Kingdom.

We are the data controller for the personal information you provide when signing up for our service. This means we are responsible for how your data is used and stored.

2 What Data We Collect

When you sign up

• Your first name
• Your trade (plumber or electrician)
• Your mobile phone number
• Your email address

When you use the service

• Records of missed calls received on your dedicated number
• The content of automated text messages sent on your behalf
• Replies received from your customers
• Basic usage data such as how many texts were sent each month

When you pay (paid subscribers only)

• Payment is handled entirely by Stripe — we never see or store your card details
• We receive confirmation from Stripe that payment was made and when

What we do NOT collect

• We do not collect your home or business address
• We do not collect any information about your customers beyond what appears in text replies
• We do not use cookies or tracking pixels on our website
• We do not collect any sensitive personal data

3 Why We Collect It

We only collect data we actually need. Here's why we collect each piece:

• Your name and trade — to personalise your automatic text-back message so it sounds like you
• Your phone number — to set up call forwarding and monitor for missed calls
• Your email address — to send you your welcome details, service updates, and to contact you about your account
• Call and message records — to run the service and to provide you with a record of what happened

Our legal basis for processing your data under UK GDPR is contract performance — we need this information to provide the service you signed up for.

4 Who We Share Your Data With

We share your data with the minimum number of third parties needed to run the service:

Twilio

We use Twilio to provide phone numbers and send SMS messages. Your phone number and message content is processed by Twilio to deliver the text-back service. You can read their privacy policy at twilio.com

Stripe

For paid subscribers, we use Stripe to process payments. Your payment details are handled entirely by Stripe — we never store your card number or financial details. You can read their privacy policy at stripe.com

n8n

We use n8n to automate parts of our service delivery including onboarding. Your signup details pass through n8n briefly as part of this process.

We do not share your data with any other third parties, advertisers, or data brokers — ever.

5 How Long We Keep Your Data

• While you are a customer — we keep all data needed to run your service
• After you cancel — we keep basic account records for up to 12 months
• After 12 months — all personal data is permanently deleted
• Message logs — kept for 6 months after the message was sent, then deleted

You can ask us to delete your data at any time — see Section 7 for your rights.

6 How We Keep Your Data Safe

• All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections
• We use reputable, security-focused providers who maintain their own security standards
• Access to customer data is strictly limited to those who need it to run the service
• We do not store payment card details — this is handled entirely by Stripe

If we ever become aware of a data breach that affects you, we will notify you as soon as possible and report it to the ICO within 72 hours where required by law.

7 Your Rights Under UK GDPR

• Right to access — you can ask us what data we hold about you
• Right to correction — you can ask us to correct any inaccurate data
• Right to erasure — you can ask us to delete your data
• Right to restriction — you can ask us to limit how we use your data
• Right to portability — you can ask for a copy of your data in a readable format
• Right to object — you can object to us processing your data in certain circumstances

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk

8 Cookies

Our website does not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other third-party tracking tools. The only data stored in your browser is what's needed for the website to function correctly during your visit.

9 Changes to This Policy

If we make any significant changes to this privacy policy, we will email you to let you know and update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
